LowCountry Irish Music Festival

LowCountry Irish Music Festival

The Charleston Music Hall is thrilled to partner with Carroll Brown Music and the Irish and Irish American Studies at CofC to present The Third Annual LowCountry Irish Music Festival on Saturday, March 9th at 8PM! The Lowcountry Irish Festival is a musical and cultural Irish Festival celebrating all things uniquely Irish in the South Carolina Lowcountry. From some of Charleston's founding fathers to Irish plantation owners and laborers. From Irish pirates to the Irishmen who powered the HL Hunley with their bare hands. Come join us for a family friendly day filled with live music, dance, history, and Irish culture! Tickets are $20 for the daytime concert, $20 for the evening concert, and $35 for an all day pass.

The Irish and Irish American Studies program at the College of Charleston has three missions. It teaches undergraduate students through its study abroad programs in Ireland and its interdisciplinary minor. It promotes Irish and Irish American artists through events like the Lowcountry Irish Fest and Celtic Night at the Music Hall. And it preserves the Irish experience in the American South by collecting oral histories and family papers. If you’d like to get on our mailing list, send a note to Dr. Joe Kelly at kellyj@cofc.edu.
