There's somewhat of a paradox inherent in Vundabar's songwriting - a conflicting sense of nostalgia contrasted with the realization that they couldn't sound more current. The music they make feels like something that should have been heard a long time ago, while simultaneously continuing to forge ahead sonically. Vundabar's high energy live show is the stand out quality of this band and is an art they’ve undoubtedly perfected by touring non-stop around the country. Vundabar’s shows never fail to be captivating, complete with infectious jams, guitar moves galore, intricate drum work, and humorous stage banter to top it all off, the band has become known for putting on an entertaining show.
Camp Howard is an indie-rock quartet based in Richmond, Virginia fronted by songwriters Nic Perea and Wes Parker, and backed by Matt Benson and Brian Larson. The band composes songs in both English and Spanish (courtesy of Perea - who is Mexican). The group released “Juice EP” in May of 2017 through Egghunt Records. Since it’s release, “Juice EP” has acquired over a million streams on Spotify alone. The lead single and title track off their EP, “Juice”, made its way into a Consequence of Sound article and quickly became Camp Howard’s most popular track. The band’s efforts were rewarded in the summer of 2018 with a support tour opening for Stone Temple Pilots. Camp Howard has continued to tour and grow with an emphasis on tight musicianship and honest self-expression. The band is currently preparing to release a new full-length record.
