Space rock band from San Jose, California. Jason Albertini played drums on three tracks on "Stratopshere" and was involved in all of "Contemporary Movement".
TELECAVES is the experimental noise duo of Juliette Amoroso and Elaine Carey, founded in Los Angeles in 2013. Through heavy and expansive layers of analog instrumentation from synth to strings, and cassette tapes to theremin, telecaves possess a tense, explosive sonic palette at once bleak and ablaze. Projected visuals of live-mixed, analog video feedback by Alex Pelly complete the experience. The result is visceral and sublime, and has earned telecaves a place among the best of LA's contemporary underground.
SPRAIN is the artistic vessel of collaborators and friends Alex Kent, April Gerloff, and Aidan Gould. Combining the glacial tempos and sparse arrangements of slowcore, aggression of noise rock, and winding compositions of post rock, Sprain often creates jarring and unsettling music. Vocals are muffled and hushed under dissonant guitar lines, drums crawl along, and bass barely holds the fragile compositions together. These compositions, often unpredictable, can result in anything from noise-guitar freakouts, to crushing doom climaxes, to tender ambience. Through varied influences and passionate performances, Sprain offers a uniquely haunting take on indie rock music.
