Bad Braids is the Psychedelic Folk project of Megan Biscieglia hailing from Brooklyn and now residing in Philadelphia. An intimate tour de force that showcases Biscieglia’s haunting vocals and songwriting reaping with intricacy and flow. Her supporting quintet carries a unique complimenting character to each song.
Company, Company started with brother and sister, Colleen and Sean Lawson. Forged from the same womb, they deliver a simplistic folk influenced sound with acoustic guitar and vocals. They have recently become a trio adding a tom-tom focused percussionist pumping a heartbeat to sink into.
Chelsea Q. Mitchell
Singer/songwriter/guitarist fronting this very inspiring trio. Thoughtful lyrics, emotional delivery, and a voice that has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, and Paula Cole. "Her songs enchant the audience, one by one. Not much stage movement, no flash; just honest, truthful songs of love that command attention."
— Dan Herman, Radio Crystal Blue
The Suicide Magnets
They are in with the International Noise Conspiracy crowd so they can bring the onslaught with the best of them, but there's also an exploratory rambling space pop side to them that you won't find in that scene which sets them apart.
