Caz Gardiner

Growing up listening to jazz, Caribbean music, soul, blues, rock, mod and punk, Caz Gardiner is a high energy performer who writes songs of overcoming struggles and celebrating life with a soulful rock and reggae sound that is as diverse and driving as she is.

Starting her music career in the 1990’s as the front woman of the Soul/Ska band The Checkered Cabs, Caz was later the lead singer of the Rock/Soul band The Ambitions and after that the Rocksteady band Caz and The Day Laborers finally deciding that she can do it all herself with her own self titled band. Caz has also performed in several projects outside of her own band. She has performed with the BandHouse Gigs, Newmyer Flyer productions, Beat Hotel, Soul Crackers, Caz Gardiner and the Badasonics, Caz and The Commotions, Victor Rice Octet and The New York Ska Jazz Ensemble.

In 2008 her band The Ambitions were nominated for a Wammie (Washington Area Music Association) in the best new band category and in 2010 she was nominated for a Wammie in the best traditional blues/RnB vocalist category for her work with Caz and The Commotions. Caz opened for both Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and Lee Fields and the Impressions while performing with The Ambitions.

Caz has recorded and performed throughout the US, South America and parts of Europe.

The Lofgren Brothers

Tom, Mike & Mark Lofgren have all been playing guitar and singing since grade school. Together they have a harmony sound that
can only come from family. As The Lofgren Brothers they have performed with brother Nils as well as on numerous BandHouse Gigs and Newmyer Flyer shows.

Tom established his extraordinary own songwriting with The Newkeys & Paper Umbrella. Mike performs regularly in a variety of musical contexts throughout the area.

40 Dollar Fine

40 Dollar Fine is raucous roots rock, alt country, with a tablespoon of '60's rock 'n' soul and a pinch of the blues. Now in their 10th year, the band runs like a well-tuned V-8 engine. They come from diverse backgrounds, with lengthy resumés in the local DC music scene, and possess a fanatical dedication to serious groove, strong 3 and 4 part vocals and a commitment to communicating with their audience. When gigging around the DC Metro area, you'll hear songs that haven't been run into the ground - some you'll know and some you won't - a fine tuned mix of new surprises and forgotten classics.

Edward O'Connell

Edward O’Connell is a Washington, D.C.-based singer and songwriter, whose albums "Vanishing Act" (2014) and "Our Little Secret" (2010) topped power pop "best-of-the-year" lists and earned glowing reviews from the pop cognoscenti (MOJO: “Brilliant!”).
