Calvin Love

Calvin Love

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada singer/songwriter Calvin Love plays a
mix of lush, dark, cinematic pop songs.
After a five-year stint (2007-2012) touring with various bands in Los Angeles as a lead
guitar player, Love returned back to Edmonton to make his first solo recording, New
Radar, which was released in 2012 by Aquarium Drunkard imprint Autumn Tone
Records. Emerging from the same vibrant Canadian scene as contemporaries Mac
Demarco, Tops, and Sean Nicholas Savage, Love has established himself as a pop
stylist with a keen ear for melody. Throughout the past seven years Love has toured
extensively throughout Canada, the USA, Europe, and China with the likes
of Morrissey, Of Montreal, Mac Demarco, Tops, and Michael Rault - as well as
working with producers Richard Swift ( The Shins, Black Keys) and Gus Seyffert (
Beck, Roger Waters).
Love released his 2015 sophomore album Super Future with Arts & Crafts and has
self-released numerous cover albums and singles. The release of his 2017 EP Ecdysis
was done with Modern Sky USA/ China.
Love is currently finishing up his third LP, to be released in 2018.
