“...a joyous, uplifting and deeply generous performance that was just the tonic for the frayed nerves of many New Yorkers after another long winter in these parlous times. Go. See them. This is music as medicine for your soul." - Tom Pryor (Nat Geo Music, Songlines, Afropop Worldwide)
Composing in English, French and Spanish, Eleanor Dubinsky’s music lives at the tender edge where jazz, world, and pop sensibilities meet emotionally forthright songwriting. Her new record, Soft Spot Of My Heart draws on influences from Latin America, West Africa, jazz and gospel traditions and was premiered to a sold out crowd at Joe’s Pub last April. The album has received favorable praise including airplay and an album review from NPR. Eleanor has performed regularly at Rockwood Music Hall for several years.
Greg Stamper & Soul21 is the primary vocal ensemble at Celebration Spiritual Center. Comprised of a beautiful mix of solo performers, actors, and musicians, this inspired group comes together to create a sound that literally transforms you. Under the leadership of Pastor Greg Stamper, the music has a Contemporary Gospel feel infused with New Thought lyrics that are affirming, uplifting and encouraging.
Since performing together at Joe’s Pub last April, Eleanor, her band members and Greg Stamper & Soul21 have formed a bond of love and mutual support. We invite you to join our musical family at this concert of new music that will send you into the holiday season with a smile on your face and joy in your heart.
