For this episode of Bruh, we’re bring the show to you, the audience, live and direct. Broadcasting live from Resident in Los Angeles, this super-sized edition of Bruh features a comedy set from writer, comedian, and actor Jak Knight, and a slew of musical guests: the next-gen R&B singer and Awful-records signee Abra, the ascendant young rapper Aminé, and special guests. You won’t want to miss this.
Jak Knight – You can see his stand-up on Netflix’s series, THE COMEDY LINE UP. Jak is a writer and voice on the Netflix series, BIG MOUTH.
Currently based in Atlanta, ABRA was born in New York and spent a significant part of her childhood in London, where her missionary parents spent years constructing a church. An artist whose early work showed that she wasn’t interesting in conforming to hip-hop and R&B norms, she refers to herself as the “darkwave duchess,” and has become a core member of the Awful Records gang – the only singer in a crew full of rappers. The crew championed her self-released 2015 debuts, *BLQ Velvet and Rose*. An independent artist who writes and produces all of her own music, she’s hit her stride with 2016’s *Princess*, a danceable, freestyle-tinged record for the indie-leaning True Panther Sounds.
Aminé, is an American rapper. He is best known for his commercial debut single, "Caroline". On July 28, 2017, Aminé released his debut studio album Good for You.
Zack Fox is a Los Angeles-based actor, visual artist, comedian, and internet provocateur.
Operating at the intersection of visual art, comedy, and hip-hop, Zack brings his unique, subversive humor and impeccable sense of timing to collaborations with brands including Red Bull, VICE, The FADER, Boiler Room, AMC, and more.
A longtime friend of Awful Records, Zack hosts their monthly show Bruh on Red Bull Radio, where he's interviewed culturally significant guests at different points in their careers: from emerging artists like SahBabii and Big Baby Scumbag to GRAMMY winners like Thundercat.
From hosting Q&A discussions with The Migos to interviewing 2Chainz and Cardi B at SXSW, Zack is at home in front of a crowd… or in the middle of one.
