Ed Romanoff is a chronicler of American experience whose voice recalls the gritty baritone of Leonard Cohen and the wit of Guy Clark, the New York singer-songwriter pens wise, big-hearted, occasionally whimsical, usually melancholic tunes about lonely souls and romantic dreamers.
Ed Romanoff’s second album The Orphan King (coming Feb 23) was produced by Simone Felice (The Lumineers, Bat For Lashes) and includes contributions from Rachael Yamagata, Kenneth Pattengale of the Milk Carton Kids, guitarist Cindy Cashdollar and multi-instrumentalist Larry Campbell, along with Larry’s wife and duo partner, Teresa Williams. Together, they forged rootsy and eccentric arrangements for Romanoff’s gritty, literate and personal songs that evoke a gothic car chase across some mythic American plain.
The Black Feathers
The Black Feathers are an award winning duo from Gloucestershire in England.
The perfectly paired voices of Sian Chandler and Ray Hughes (4) intertwine effortlessly to create a genre-defying sound, combining elements of folk, roots, americana, and southern rock.
Cassandra is a Long Island-based singer/songwriter whose unique sound has been described as soulful, earnest & raw. She has shared the stage with such talents as Amy Helm and the Handsome Strangers, Shannon McNally, G. Love, Lucy Kaplansky, Jen Chapin & Todd Scheaffer of Railroad Earth.
Compared to the likes of Patty Griffin, Kathleen Edwards & Neko Case, her original music, surrounded by her band of five star musicians makes this act a must-see. She has been a featured folk artist in her community on Long Island, and looks forward to branching out to other states and spreading her music to any ears willing to listen. Cassandra's newest recording efforts have been with the help of acclaimed & Grammy winning producer/engineer Ben Wisch.
