Leah is an Americana singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. Raised in North Carolina, Leah found her first singing gig at a local winery fronting a five-piece band that delivered Marvin Gaye and Alison Krauss tunes to crowds of several hundred. She relocated to NYC to pursue songwriting, and formed her energy-infused, melodic folk-pop sound in the world's most diverse venue - the New York City subway system.
Leah performs above ground these days, mixing original music that pulls from soul, folk, country and pop influences and her own take on covers from her 200-song catalogue including songs in both English and Spanish.
Leah released her first recordings on the 'I'm Just the Same' EP in 2013 followed by several singles in 2014 including 'Growing' which TLC selected for a television sync license and 'Carolina I'm Home', selected by Our State NC Magazine as the Song of the Year. Her new EP 'Home' is available online now.
