Battle of the Bands
Our Battle of the Bands is an evening dedicated to local and regional musicians, aspiring and professionals alike, giving them the opportunity to take our stage and present their performance
and songwriting talents to an audience comprised of people who truly appreciate great bands, original music and live performances.
Many bands will enter, but one will walk away the winner. This event is a judged event where audience applause will choose the winner each night. The Top 3 bands of the evening get cash prizes and fortune and glory.
If you desire to be a part of this event please head over to our Battle of the Bands registration page on MadLife’s Website: http://madlifestageandstudios.com/battle/ and click on the “Register Here” link to email your application. If available, include video and/or audio of a live performance so our selection committee can get a good feeling for your music and artistry.
Same Strange Day
Ricer are an explosive power trio lead by the sheer force and energy that is their guitarist Ginger Brown. While they can be quiet and introspective at times, this is but the calm before the storm. Featuring a dynamic rythmn section of ‘Stiff Penalty’ on bass and Dave Mead on drums, Ricer assaults the audience with flying shards of molten guitar that sears the senses and leaves you wanting more. This is music that commands your attention, performed with passion - Ricer delivers!
“Moon Bums, a funky blues rock group from Augusta, Ga. made up of four members; a guitar player, bassist, and a duo of drummers, aims to bring each and every crowd the most unique blues performance that they have seen in years!”
Cherokee Voodoo consist of Jon Adams on vocals, Jon Paul Hodges on guitar, Adam Smith on bass, Travis Gay on drums. The group came together less than a year ago and began creating their own original music. What has risen from their short time together is a musical concoction that almost defies labels and genres. With influences ranging the entire rock spectrum, it's something you've got to experience for yourself.
Founded in 2016 as Sign Of Life, SOL came together as a band to back lead singer Barbara Brumback. As the band went forward into live performing, the band evolved into a high energy rock dance party band, covering many genres from new country to 70’s funk to 80’s 90’s party rock, music from the fifties on through 2018! SOL changed its name this year to BarbWired to better reflect their high energy shows, and is currently out working clubs in the metro Atlanta area every weekend. BarbWired likes to remain current and relevant to get all age groups up and grooving!
Barbara Brumback - Lead Vocals
Mitch Zeitner - Lead Guitar
Dan Smallwood - Drums
Ike Evans- Bass
Buice is an alternative rock band formed by Hayden Locke and Russell Houk in July of 2018. Ian Valdés was picked as a drummer after forming and started playing gigs. They have currently released one EP called "The Walrus".
Ga Music Awards Rock Band of the Year STiiLPOiNT's stellar musicianship, and sophisticated songcraft is only magnified by a vocal range that ignites the microphone. STiiLPOiNT is the sound of a new generation of traditionalists who long for the days when rock n’ roll was raw, uncomplicated and magnetic. With an All Star lineup of infamous underground rock legends, STiiLPOiNT's greatest asset is having the ability to generate an energy and a groove that is, simply put, powerfully seductive. Monstrous guitar riffs, Thunderous rhythm section, Melodic with a razors edge.
New school Rock n Roll done the old school way. Wide open, with a take no prisoners attitude, and the experience and know-how to back it up.
