The Mighty Pines
The Mighty Pines are a soul-inspired roots rock band influenced by the wide rivers and red-brick streets of St. Louis. With soaring vocals and thoughtful composition, the two principle songwriters shift the band’s sound from catchy rock ‘n’ roll to earthy instrumentals. The Riverfront Times heralds the band as “a talented young quartet engaged in the roots and rhythms of bluegrass but mixed with a more contemporary ear for harmony and production.”
The Mighty Pines formed in 2012 and is made up of Neil Salsich (vocals, guitar), Gerard Erker (mandolin, banjo, vocals), John Hussung (bass, vocals) and Mike Murano (drums). They have released four albums, played hundreds of live shows and shared bills with renowned acts such as Greensky Bluegrass, Railroad Earth and Fruition across the country.
On May 18th, 2018, The Mighty Pines released their first live album, The Mighty Pines Live. Derived from two performances in St. Louis, the album captures their passionate live show in a 13-song compilation. The band also recorded two singles with Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth. The first of which, “Farmer Song”, was recently released as the theme song to 2018’s Farmers United Tour, a three-stop tour across Missouri in support of local farms and healthy soil.
hollow aka boyhollow is an old goth that plays music for hipsters, indie-rockers, bass-heads, gays, party kids, gender-crushers, meat-heads, woo girls and even the occasional hippie. He doesn’t believe in writing bios containing a bunch of cliches about what an awesome DJ he is. He’d rather be making you dance.
He is co-founder of Lipgloss (est. 2001), Denver’s longest running and most awarded club-night. Lipgloss was instrumental in - if not arguably responsible for - creating Denver’s indie dance scene.
He has worked with, performed at and produced parties with some of music’s biggest names: New Order, Passion Pit, The XX, Girl Talk, Miami Horror, The Juan Maclean, Miike Snow, Yeasayer, !!!, MSTRKRFT, Autoerotique, Figure, Mars Volta, Simian Mobile Disco, Steve Aoki, Bloody Beetroots, Chromeo, Calvertron, Le Castle Vania, Treasure Fingers, VHS or Beta, Le Tigre, Felix Cartal, Fake Blood, Blondie, Interpol, Phoenix, Boys Noize, Crookers, LCD Soundsystem, Guns'n'Bombs, Mustard Pimp, Junkie XL, LA Riots, The Faint, K.I.M.
