Giraffage & Ryan Hemsworth: Open World Tour

With a robust early following and organic online buzz, Giraffage offers a fresh, sample-rich sound of dreamy pop beats, sensual synths and lush experimental electronica. The creation of 23 year-old Charlie Yin of San Francisco, Giraffage is an exciting new producer with an intuitive grasp of modern music manipulation, delivering beats that are dripping with vibes and accessible to all.

Early supporters of Giraffage's screwed-down soundscapes, sample-based pop music and future R&B include such publications as Pitchfork, XLR8R, The Fader and Gorilla vs. Bear. After an extensive tour with the artist xxyyxx through Europe last year, Giraffage has big plans for 2013, with numerous upcoming performance dates including a Brooklyn Vegan showcase at SXSW and at Los Angeles' world-renowned Low End Theory club night. Considered one to watch by industry insiders and the online underground, Giraffage's newest release "Needs" is out for free February 26 on Alpha Pup Records.

"'Moments,' the first track from San Francisco producer and multi-instrumentalist Giraffage's forthcoming full-length album, is a glitchy slice of bedroom dream-pop lushly constructed with layers of samples, sundry instrumentation, and tight percussion. Comfort, his first LP and the follow-up to this year's Pretty Things EP, will continue the hazy romp through looping guitars, 808 thuds and clacks, and diced-up vocals when Giraffage (a.k.a. Charlie Yin) self-releases it." --XLR8R

Ryan Hemsworth

Ryan Hemsworth is a young producer from Canada with a remarkably productive output in the past two years and a totally unique approach to hip hop and R&B production.

With an early background as a singer and guitarist, he quickly weaned off rock into hip hop and more software oriented music, diving whole-heartedly into drum loops and samples. In 2011, his first release No Plans was featured on SPIN magazine's Top 20 R&B albums of 2011 and he quickly followed up with A Way and Kitsch Genius, which got him increasingly noticed for a singular sound attracting a number of music critics and artists from across the country. He soon began cultivating relationships online and became a go-to producer for MCs like Main Attrakionz, Shady Blaze, and Deniro Farrar, helping craft a sound sitting somewhere between chill wave and trap rap. Hyperbolic Chamber Music, a collaborative project with NYC clothing brand Mishka, saw him at the helm of a 22-minute posse cut featuring 26 different rapper from across America, and his remix treatment of Grimes, Frank Ocean, and Danny Brown have kept his name spreading in the past year.

With his first label release, the Last Words EP released through Wedidit Collective, Ryan Hemsworth continues his sonic collages and explorations, digging even deeper into unexplored genres and delivering his finest work to date.

Instupendo

Philadelphia electronic artist Instupendo floats into earshot with original downtempo compositions that listeners say they turn to when they feel, or want to feel, a certain way. Simultaneously euphoric and melancholy, his distinctive sound has been described by Dancing Astronaut as “something akin to taking Tycho’s work, incepting it into a dreamscape, and slowing it way down”. This emotional sound design has earned him a world-wide following, nods from Pigeons & Planes, Indie Shuffle, The 405, and Nest HQ, as well as regular features on Spotify, Apple Music and Majestic Casual. He’s performed at SXSW, and supported Rostam, Shallou, Digitalism, Harris Cole and Eevee. 2018 has seen Instupendo releasing his sophomore EP, “Faces I Know”, its corresponding visual EP companion, and remix compilation featuring reworks by Slow Magic, Owsey and Laxcity. Don’t sleep!
