Liam Corcoran was the co-founder of the popular indie-pop group Two Hours Traffic. Since the group disbanded, Liam has embarked on a solo career, releasing the mini-album ROM-DROM in September 2015. Backed by a strong cast of Charlottetown's finest, Liam has been developing a strong live show for this solo material. He is nearing completion of a new full-length record entitled Nevahland.
For his August 11 show at the Trailside, Liam Corcoran will be performing a career-spanning set of songs from his time with pop-rockers Two Hours Traffic up to his most recent solo material. Following a successful string of albums with THT, Liam released his first solo effort Rom-Drom in 2015. He has been hard at work on the followup full-length Nevahland, which will be released in the fall of 2017. Liam is a regular performer at the Trailside and attendees of this show can count on a mixture of solo numbers and full-band performances which will feature familiar Island musicians Iain McCarvill, Nick Doneff, Laura Oakie and Roger Carter.
There’s always been something special about Jerry Leger’s songs that few can match. It bears repeating, and is hardly an understatement, that he manages to channel the youthful vigor of Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Neil Young and Rick Danko, sometimes all within the same song. But at heart, Leger is driven by a quest to convey in his own manner the purity embedded in the grooves of the vintage rock, country and soul recordings he so dearly loves. This trait attracted early support from fellow singer/songwriters like Ron Sexsmith, and his staunchest ally, producer and label head Michael Timmins of Cowboy Junkies. Employing his distinctive live-off-the-floor recording approach on the new 2-record set, Nonsense And Heartache.
