So, we’re up to hard rock, electro-pop, funk, big band, blues, clanging metallic percussion, samples of classical, world music, soundtracks … and we can throw in the auras of his erstwhile collaborators, too: the swaggering, strutting sexuality of 90s Foetus topped with the effortless glamour of KMFDM. Then take his time in Japan, where he’s played with Schaft and Schwein – sounding roughly like all of the above but with Buck-Tick’s punky Visual Kei sensibility added to the mix.
Ignoring the occasional curveball (such as the latin influence on ‘Salambo’), we could almost by this point imagine the
A collection of beautifully-written, catchy rock songs with quirky arrangements is a starting point, but doesn’t get close to what makes
Esoterik is a Darkwave, Synth driven, band located in Oklahoma City.
The band was formed in Early 2013 by Allison Eckfeldt and Brady Bledsoe. They combine Synthpop, Dark Wave and Electronic Dance.
Esoterik’s sophomore album, ‘Atonement’, was released in October 2015 and produced by Rotersand’s own Krischan Wesenberg. At the same time as the album drop Esoterik released the music video for ‘Necrodancer’ the first single from ‘Atonement.’
The second music video to be released for the album ‘Atonement’ was ‘Cup of Life.’ A song that paved the way into Esoterik’s new sound-scape that was lovingly coined ‘Pagan-Synth’ by a fan.
Evolving into the sound of ‘Pagan-Synth’ Esoterik dropped the EP ‘Set Fire to Me’ May 12th,2017 which was mixed, mastered and produced by Gregor Beyerle of Studio Dreamcatcher. The EP’s goal being to prep fans and new listeners for the new 12-track Album due to be released late 2018. The EP included a new music video titled ‘Spirits Light the Way’ which was very well received by fans.
Once upon a time the creature known as Worm Splatter sat alone toiling on his own brand of epic electronic music. Those early musical tappings and scratchings became the Oklahoma based electronic band, Pittersplatter. Pittersplatter's sound takes inspiration from a wide variety of dark music genres yet does not totally embrace any of them, instead choosing to exist in the favor of originality. The music is a mechanized chorus of angry yet melodic soundscapes paired with dark lyrical themes and monstrous imagery, creating a band unique in both look and sound. In the almost 10 years Pittersplatter has been playing live the band has gained itself its very own following of fans as diverse as the band's musical style itself. These fans coined the term "electronic nightmare music" in attempts to label what the band does, realizing that Pittersplatter is not completely aligned with any one genre or trend, Pittersplatter simply is.
