A seminal death metal band from Liverpool, UK, founded in 1985.
Starting out as a three-piece, Carcass were one of Earache Records' grindcore flagship and had a huge impact on the birth of so-called goregrind style. The group debuted with the extremely lo-fi underground classic "Reek of Putrefaction", which the late BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel declared as his favourite album of 1988. With 1990's Symphonies Of Sickness the band developed the goregrind style further with the addition of improved production values. The album tour also saw the addition of a second guitarist Mike Amott, of Sweden's Carnage. 1991's "Necroticism" was the band's first studio work as a four piece and the album, albeit incorporating highly complex guitar riffing and structures, showcased somewhat more accessible and thrashier guitar work and less emphasis on full-on grindcore. 1993's "Heartwork", while still being brutal and complex at times, saw the band abandon nearly all of their grindcore influences and showcased a more streamlined and catchier version of Carcass with more song oriented approach and overall more traditional heavy metal vibe with strong guitar harmonies and melodic lead guitar work. Following the success of "Heartwork" the band singed to Columbia Records, but the major label collaboration didn't turn out to be too fruitful as the band grew frustrated with the music business and proceeded to split up during the recording of their fifth album "Swansong".
Carcass reformed for live shows in 2007 with Mike Amott back in as second guitarist and Daniel Erlandsson of Arch Enemy as session drummer. Original drummer Ken Owen had suffered a brain haemorrhage in 1999, which left him disabled to perform the songs in a live setting. The "reunion" touring cycle ended when Amott and Erlandsson left the band in 2012 to focus on Arch Enemy.
In February 2013 the band announced that after 18 years, a new album was at works. Daniel Wilding was introduced as the new drummer and later also Ben Ash joined the group as a live guitarist.
Ash exited the band in late 2017 and was replaced by Tom Draper.
Current line up:
Bill Steer - Guitar (1985-1996, 2007- )
Jeff Walker - Bass & Vocals (1986-1996, 2007- )
Daniel Wilding - Drums (2012 - )

Crossover band from Santa Monica, California formed in 1984.
IRON REAGAN are no strangers to the art of crossover. Comprised of Tony Foresta (vocals), Phil Hall (guitar), Mark Bronzino (guitar), Rob Skotis (bass), and Ryan Parrish (drums), between them they fill, or have filled the ranks of Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse and Darkest Hour alike. Now, with their recent signing to metal powerhouse Relapse Records, the hardcore thrash quintet are ready to take their bruising antics to the next level.
Excel is a now-defunct punk/metal fusion band from Venice, California. The band never achieved commercial success during their years of performing and recording, but they are considered to be one of the first crossover thrash bands to come out of Venice, along with their hometown heroes Suicidal Tendencies.
They started in 1983 under the name Chaotic Noise and members at that time were Dan Clements (vocals), Adam Siegel (guitars), Rickey Palamino (bass) and Evan Warech (drums). In 1985, they changed their name to "Excel" and Palamino and Warech left the band since then. Their replacements were Shaun Ross and Greg Saenz.
After releasing two albums, Split Image in 1987 and The Joke's on You in 1989, Siegel joined Mike Muir's Infectious Grooves in 1991. However, during this time, Excel had already started working on new material for what would become their third and last album, but was put on hold several times, due to Siegel's tour schedule with Infectious Grooves. The album, titled Seeking Refuge, was not released until 1995. After that, Excel broke up.
Founded by Jeff Harp in 1983 Final Conflict has been a long standing staple of LA punk rock. Much time has passed, members come and go but the love for the music has never ceased. Jeff has remained the foundation of the band, never waning in his devotion to Final Conflict and it's music.
Like any family, siblings will argue/fight and FC's volatile history has never been a secret. However after many years, the members of the 85 - 88 line up have decided to play together again. Older, wiser.. (OK, just older) We will perform at this years Chaos in Tejas Festival in Austin TX.
This is something we are looking forward to, we weren't just band members, but brothers, hopefully there will be more shows to come.
