Baby God is a charming mess of indie rock, alt-country and folk written by Andrew Murray (English Words, Wildcat) and Nathan Gill (Two Hours Traffic, North Lakes). The project finds both songwriters away from home after having left behind various relationships and bands.
Their self-titled debut was recorded under string lights in Nathan's living room in Toronto. It's an album about the idyllic, idols and idling. Baby God's song-first approach and lo-fi production value keeps their album candid and direct.
Owen Meany's Batting Stance
Owen Meany’s Batting Stance is a Halifax based alternative indie rock project of songwriter Daniel Walker. With the lyrical prowess of The Weakerthans and The Mountain Goats, Owen Meany’s Batting Stance marries thoughtful lyrics to catchy indie folk tunes. OMBS released their debut self-titled record in September 2016. The band is currently recording their second record, Feather Weights, slated for a September 2018 release. This record will be released on Rhyme and Reason records.
