The Easthills are a band from Indiana. Currently the band is writing and recording new material and will release new songs in 2018.
The Easthills released their highly anticipated 12 song full-length latest album Fear and Temptation in 2016. Fear and Temptation followed the 2013 critically acclaimed album Death Of A Salesman and the 2014 EP World Class Prick. The band also released a series of singles in advance of Fear and Temptation including ”Mothers & Fools”, “Snake In My Gut (Caroline’s Heart), “Holiday Women”, and most recently “Here Without Me”.
Fear and Temptation continued The Easthills signature big harmonies and big guitars sound. The album also boasted a new direction both sonically and as songwriters. Founding members Will Barada and Hank Campbell contributed equally on songwriting, vocals and guitars to produce a riff heavy and melodic collection of songs. The Easthills first full-length album, Death Of A Salesman, consisted of Barada, Campbell and Brad Morgan on drums. Fear and Temptation also features renowned indie rock guitar legend Doug Gillard (Nada Surf, Guided By Voices) on six songs, Frank Hannon of Tesla and Neal Doughty of REO Speedwagon on “Holiday Women”, and guitarist Rick Richards (Georgia Satellites, Izzy Stradlin) on “Here Without Me”.
The band has had a busy 2016-2018 playing shows with the likes of Cracker, Soul Asylum, Grand Funk Railroad, Robby Krieger (of the Doors), Rusted Root, Michael Sweet, Max Weinberg, Devon Allman, Old 97′s and Night Ranger among others. The band’s shows in 2016 and 2017 have featured Campbell, Barada, Parish, both Brad and Banner Morgan and also appearances by Steve Fulton, Paul Barada, Tim Fuller, Doug Gillard and Caleb White. Since the inception of The Easthills they have played multiple Midwest shows with REO Speedwagon, Fastball, Georgia Satellites, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and Here Come the Mummies while also serving as support for Cheap Trick, Tesla, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Candlebox, Ian McLagan (Faces) and Blues Traveler. The band has also appeared on several noteworthy music festivals playing alongside the likes of Band of Horses, Flaming Lips, Weezer, Roky Erikson, Guided By Voices, Meat Puppets, Chris Robinson and many more.
As of summer 2018 The Easthills have been recording new music at the Pop Machine recording studio in Indianapolis, at Hen House Recorders and also at Safe House, the band’s own studio. 2018-19 look to be an exciting new time for the band and a different direction…….more soon.
In early 2016, Bullet Points released their self-recorded demo, “Business Card”. The EP distinctly presents hypnotic rhythms while guitars curiously weave their way through heartfelt lyrics of ache and desire. The quartet spent the remainder of the year playing throughout the region, including live in-studio performances at DZ Records in Chicago, Indy Star Sessions and on the series "Small Studio Sessions" on the NPR affiliate, WFYI. In late 2017, Bullet Points began work on their next album, releasing the first single "Blood Dreams" on March 23rd 2018.
The band’s members have been a part of several other notable bands, including the Lemonheads, Extra Blue Kind, State, Beta Male and Coolidge.
"I got the feeling of Turn on The Bright Lights era Interpol, especially due to the quick yet steely and majestic scratches of guitar...Business Card is a must hear record..." - www.nomoredivision.com
Known locally/regionally for fronting the Indianapolis-based rock outfit Stereo Deluxe, Jay Elliott also performs alone with just an acoustic guitar.
