The Delirians movement began in the community of East Los Angeles with Angel Salgado and Tony Medina. The unique sound developed by the group found it's roots in Latin, Jamaican, and Soul music. The Delirians transcended these traditional styles with a unique rhythm and harmony that grooves the soul to its core. This sound was first captured on their 2012 self-titled EP, The Delirians. As the band developed and continued to push the bounds of their musical abilities, they solidified their rhythm and style by adding drummer, Eric Alvarez, who has been featured with Western Standard Time. The Delirians’ debut album, Get Up!, released in 2014 with Angel City Records, planted the group in the forefront of the ska, reggae, and rocksteady scene.
For their most recent projects, The Delirians have joined forces with Roger Rivas from the Aggrolites to bring back the high fidelity recordings of old. The 2017 release, Mezcla de Musica y Amor, took an intimate look into the culture that nurtured the innovative sound. The culmination of the bands sound will be displayed in the much anticipated full album, El Remedio and this will solidify The Delirians as a force to be reckoned with in the near future.
The Delirians have been winning the hearts and ears of listeners across the world. Various tours in Europe and Mexico, and radio play in both France and Japan has helped spread The Delirians universal sound. In 2018, they will make their biggest splash state side with their Coachella Festival debut on the Sonora Stage.
