Zea Sy has been singing and writing music since the young age of 2. Growing up in Washington DC. Her mom worked as a Diplomat so she never stayed in one place for a long time.
Her mom worked as a Foreign Service officer while she was growing up so, she lived in several countries, teaching her about various styles of music, culture, and even how to read your crowd. Being a diplomat forces you make sure you are aware of your surroundings; to stay safe. It wasn’t always easy…
In her late teens/early 20s, she really wanted to take my voice to the next level! She studied voice in college, copiously learning and sharpening her skills in classical, theatre, contemporary, and pop. She had the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, went on a European tour, and did some major venues throughout the US. Additionally, she did lots of musical theatre performances, including, Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, and even Cinderella.
