Part Time Punks
PART TIME PUNKS is a club that takes over noted Echo Park live music venue, The Echo on 1822 Sunset, every Sunday night. The night focuses heavily on DIY and Indie vinyl coming out of the U.S., UK and Europe from 1977 to the present: Punk, Post-Punk, Synth-Punk, Synthpop, Minimal Synth, Dark/Cold/Minimal Wave, NDW, Industrial, New Wave, No Wave, C86, Indiepop, Twee, Shoegaze, Baggy and even Krautrock…
"The Molochs are a four-piece band that draw from a varied, yet cohesive, pool of inspiration. While rooted in the deepest, oldest forms of minimal, folk-oriented songwriting of the U.S. and the U.K., the Molochs also incorporate sounds and aesthetics that acknowledge all that has come between then and now. Refusing to stand as mere retrospect, the Molochs disrupt the comfort of nostalgic sounds with the unease, uncertainty and anxiety of living in the early 21st century. The songwriting benefits as much from literary influences as from musical, with songs that read like stories and evoke the imagery of Here and Now.
While modern culture invites us to fall into its heroin-sleep, the Molochs dare you to resist its warm sedation and actively engage in love, pain and self-actualization." - Unknown
Smokescreens is a indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. The members are Chris, Corey, Jenny & Brice.

THE MONOCHROME SET formed in 1978, and were heavily influential in the ‘post-punk’ scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk. The band’s early releases were on the legendary Rough Trade Label before signing with Virgin offshoot Din Disc. They also released several albums on the Cherry Red label, making a notable appearance on that label's well known ‘Pillows and Prayers’ compilation. Though The Monochrome Set split in 1985 the next decade saw several reunions for both live gigs and further studio recordings, their album release count now being well into double figures. After a hiatus of over a decade the band reformed full time in 2010 and have since toured all over the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA, whilst also releasing five new, critically acclaimed, studio albums, the most recent, ‘Maisieworld,’ on the German ‘Tapete’ label in February this year.
