Unleash the Archers
Formed in 2007, Unleash The Archers have been hitting the road tirelessly from the moment they had songs to play. Starting with Vancouver Island, moving on to Western Canada, then all across the country and eventually the whole of North America, touring has been UTA's MO from the start. With the ever-rising popularity of social and digital media, hundreds of thousands of bands are now just one click away, but what can be done in studio can not always be reproduced live. UTA brings a kick ass live show, full of energy and charisma. They bring it from beginning to end, and then are more than happy to hang out after the show; no hiding out in green rooms or leaving after their set. UTA have worked very hard to build up a solid fan base and never take it for granted.
Striker is a speed metal/trad metal band from Edmonton, Canada formed in 2009.
Helion Prime was first conceived from a common love of metal and all things science. The band was founded when Jason Ashcraft (of Dire Peril) asked Heather Michele (of Graveshadow) to form a project with him. Between the two, they had worked with such artists as Mark Briody (Jag Panzer), Brittney Slayes (Unleash the Archers), Andy LaRocque (King Diamond), Ralph Scheepers (Primal Fear), Arjen Anthony Lucassen (Ayreon/Star One), and Niklas Isfeldt (Dream Evil). The concept; power metal with themes based on actual scientific theories with the occasional sci-fi tribute. The name Helion Prime was borrowed from an alien planet featured in the film "Chronicles of Riddick," a movie the two were great fans of. She accepted the exciting proposition without hesitation. The two recorded their first demo track in June of 2014, and with the help of members from Dire Peril and Axiom, Helion Prime debuted their first live performance in August 2014 at the Boardwalk in Orangevale, CA. The dynamic duo then released their first EP on February 26th, 2015 with a full length album in the works. Helion Prime’s lineup was completed after bringing Jeremy Steinhouse on bass and Justin Herzer (of Axiom) on drums. In August of 2015, Helion Prime set out on their first tour, playing shows in Oregon, Nevada, California, and Utah. Their debut album is set to be released in early 2016 and will be featuring special guest Niklas Isfeldt of Dream Evil. Stay tuned all you power metal fanatics!
Hailing out of Southern California, the origins of Malison are traced back to the days of a high school cover band looking to get together and play some tunes.
After years and years of playing together and putting on cover shows for friends and family, original material was starting to get written, and then the embryonic stage of musical development started to progress.
After Malison had found a guitarist with similar musical direction, the band started collaborating together on new musical ideas, inspired by the sounds of Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Between the Buried and Me, Dragonforce, and Megadeth.
On January 17th, 2014, Malison was born.
Since then, Malison has played a handful of shows in the Southern California metal scene, and has even taken the prerogative to put on its own shows hosting San Diego talent to build the heavy metal community. Using the moniker "Malison Presents," Pop vs. Metal was an instant success, and now "Pop vs. Metal II: A New Challenger" will be underway!
Malison is hoping to reach the heavy metal community with a revival of clean vocals, complementing the classic sound and feel of the 1980s, with a contemporary edge for originality. The galloping bass lines, raspy vocals, and melodic harmony encompasses Malison's vision for a new, unique sound.
Currently, the band just self-released their first EP, "Impulses" on June 9th, 2015
and is currently waiting to take the stage at a venue near you!
