Formed along the banks of the Delaware River, The Warhawks have established themselves as one of the premeire rock and roll bands of the New Jersey/Philadelphia music scene. Blending elements of punk with garage rock and indie pop, cousins Matt Orlando, John Bilodeau, Patrick Bilodeau, and longtime friend Tom Lipski have performed across the United States, releasing a dozen EPs along the way that have received nationwide college radio airplay. Known for their explosive and razor tight live sets, The Warhawks have consistently sold out Philadelphia venues. They have shared stages with internationally touring acts including The Menzingers, White Reaper, Dune Rats, and DZ Deathrays. They have also been featured as group vocalists on Beach Slang's 'Everything Matters But No One Is Listening'.
In late 2016, after years of working day jobs as house painters, The Warhawks were hired to paint the newly renovated Gradwell Recording House. However, in lieu of cash payment, the band received the professional studio time they had needed to record their debut full length record. Recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced by engineer Dave Downham (Beach Slang, Into It. Over It.), 'Never Felt So Good' is a powerhouse debut, filled with infectious melodies, spiraling harmonies, and heavy hitting, beautifully crafted instrumentation. The effort is fully collaborative, with each member providing vocals and earning writing credits on each other's material. The LP explores themes of romance, religion, and the inherent struggle of the search for one's identity in an unstable and chaotic world. It sets to song the transition of youth to adulthood as experienced growing up in working class-east coast-small town America. Long nights we wish we could remember. Long days we wish we could forget. It takes the good with the bad, bleeding a gritty excitement at every turn and ultimately emerging triumphant.
Adequate music by adequate people. Long Island, New York.
