Successful actress and singer-songwriter Alicia Witt is releasing new music later this summer, leading with single “Younger,” produced by Grammy award-winning producer, JacquireKing (James Bay, Niall Horan, Kings of Leon, Norah Jones, Modest Mouse, Dawes). Alicia has played her piano-driven pop-rock music all over the world, including a performance at the renowned Grand Ole Opry, as well as opening up for Ben Folds Five, John Fullbright, Rachel Platten, Jimmy Webb, and Bob Schneider. Her last album, 2015’s Revisionary History, was produced by Ben Folds and was hailed by Nashville Scene as “a piano-pop gem that sounds by turnslike “Grey Seal”-era Elton John, an alt-universe Fiona Apple and a film-noir chanteuse notching her nights in cigarette burns on the fallboard.”Also known for her decades-long career as a prolific TV/film actress (beginning in David Lynch's 'Dune' at the age of 7), her music has been featured in numerous movies. She has performed as musical guest on CBS' Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Queen Latifah Show, and Hallmark’s Home & FamilyShow and was featured as the cover story in Sound & Vision Magazine. Alicia’s many credits include recent TV roles in The Walking Dead, Supernatural, Nashville, FOX’s The Exorcist, Netflix’s Disjointed (with Kathy Bates) and Showtime’s 3rd season of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. Previous film credits include Two Weeks Notice, Last Holiday, 88 Minutes, The Upside of Anger, Mr. Holland’s Opus, FourRooms, and Vanilla Sky, she is also well-known for her yearly appearance on Hallmark’s Christmas movies. Other significant roles that fans may recognize Alicia from include Showtime’s House of Lies, NBC’s Emmy Award winning Friday Night Lights, CBS’The Mentalist and NBC’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She spent 4 years on the CBS hit show Cybill and has also appeared on the HBO series The Sopranos, CBS’s Two and a Half Men, Ally McBeal, and David Lynch’s original Twin Peaks.
