They say that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be more therapeutic according to this doctor Rock Band. Carey Strom, a Chicago native, was born with a guitar in his hands and loved the Chicago Blues. However his passion for medicine took him down a completely different path. He met Dr. Michael Duffy, a native of Minneapolis, who had played the horn with subgenre of the Twin Cities typical funk rock sound. These two frustrated musicians later followed their other passion outside of medicine and started the "Docs of Doheny." They have played with the likes of Al Jarreau at the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors Annual Ball and many other Medical Charities, including the American Lung Association. Their big sound and surgical attire make them one of the most unique and desired bands today
Two friends from middle school met two friends on the internet and started a band. This is that band. With songs about heartbreak, growing up, and even the Wild West, Something Hit leaves no rock un-rolled! Come see what literally none of the buzz has been about, but what your friends will be jealous they missed.
We're No Gentlemen
We're No Gentlemen is an alternative rock band based out of Long Beach, California. The band was founded by drummer Vince Gudino, who had the intention of creating a high energy rock act with female-fronted flare. That vision was realized when front-woman Amanda Gabel joined the group and shared Vince's dedication towardsassembling a successful and talented lineup. The puzzle was completed with theaddition of bassist Daniele Boneddu, guitarist Rikki Jaurez, and lead guitarist Dan Schiz. With the lineup solidified, We're No Gentlemen aggressively hit LA's live music scene and quickly gained traction. The release of a music video for “Mirror, Mirror” and the self-titled debut EPbrought the band fans from all over the world and accolades from the LA music scene's seasoned professionals. The band also became the first winner of Battle for Vans Warped Tour 2018 and played the Vegas Date of Warped tour. From performing at bars tomesmerizing audiences at famed venues such as The Viper Room and Whisky A Go-Go, one thing that has impressed music lovers is We're No Gentlemen's genuine love for performing and having fun on stage; a passion that is equally shared with their fan-base as well. We're No Gentlemen have recently finished a music video for their next single, “Promises”, and are currently working on a follow up to their acclaimed EP.
he Mystos came to fruition when a couple weeks of casual jam sessions amongst friends evolved into something more structured. Based in Ventura, CA, their sound can best be described as modern indie prog-rock, with some blues, jazz, and pop elements peppered in. Their diverse musical backgrounds converge on a shared desire to push boundaries and create nuanced, often multi-movement tracks that are still easily digestible to the ear. They released their first EP, “Joey’s Garage”, in March 2018 and are currently working on their first full-length album.
