Incite ignite heavy metal once more with their fourth full-length album and highly anticipated metal record for 2016 Oppression [minus HEAD Records]. Since the release of their full-length-debut The Slaughter in 2009, the Phoenix, AZ quartet has shared stages with everyone from Dillinger Escape Plan, Cancer Bats, and 36 Crazyfists to Crowbar, Soulfly, and Cavalera Conspiracy in addition to headlining countless gigs. Over the course of two more explosive offerings, All Out War and Up In Hell , they’ve earned acclaim from Kerrang!, ARTISTdirect, and many others as well as “Album of the Week” honors from Revolver. Songs such as “Army of Darkness” charted Top 40 on the SiriusXM metal charts. However, 2016 sees the band evolve into a more brutal and brash beast ready to claw its way to the genre’s upper echelon one show at a time.
Singer Richie Cavalera is no stranger to quality heavy music. Immersing himself in the genre as a kid, his destiny was always the stage. In 2004, along with Zak [drums], Dis [guitar], and Luis [bass], Richie formed Incite with that in mind.
Soon after, the band destroyed venues across Europe, Canada, Australia and the United States with everyone from Dillinger Escape Plan to Soulfly, garnering rave reviews from tastemakers such as Kerrang! in the process. The group's 2009 debut, The Slaughter, left an indelible mark on the genre. Revolver called it "thrash that's hard to refuse/resist", and the single "Army of Darkness" hit #31 on the Sirius Metal Charts.
Now, they're bringing everything to a new level with their second full-length. Incite's modern musical assault and battery has been honed and sharpened. It's their time now. You've been warned.
Formed in Phoenix, Arizona by brothers Igor and Zyon Cavalera in 2011. The band recorded their first demo only months after the formation of the group. In 2012 Lody Kong did extensive touring of the U.S. and Europe, as well as recorded a four song EP entitled "No Rules." Over the following years, the band wrote and recorded their first full length album, had extensive lineup changes and signed to Mascot Label Group. The album, titled "Dreams and Visions", was released on March 25th, 2016, and it showed new capabilities of the otherwise noisy group. Lody Kong blends a fusion of sludge, old school punk and psychedelic stoner metal. Embodying crunching guitars, fuzzy bass lines and dominating drum beats, the band's sound and direction is crushing formal boundaries.
