Battle of the Bands
Our Battle of the Bands is an evening dedicated to local and regional musicians, aspiring and professionals alike, giving them the opportunity to take our stage and present their performance
and songwriting talents to an audience comprised of people who truly appreciate great bands, original music and live performances.
Many bands will enter, but one will walk away the winner. This event is a judged event where audience applause will choose the winner each night. The Top 3 bands of the evening get cash prizes and fortune and glory.
If you desire to be a part of this event please head over to our Battle of the Bands registration page on MadLife’s Website: http://madlifestageandstudios.com/battle/ and click on the “Register Here” link to email your application. If available, include video and/or audio of a live performance so our selection committee can get a good feeling for your music and artistry.
Cherokee Voodoo consist of Jon Adams on vocals, Jon Paul Hodges on guitar, Adam Smith on bass, Travis Gay on drums. The group came together less than a year ago and began creating their own original music. What has risen from their short time together is a musical concoction that almost defies labels and genres. With influences ranging the entire rock spectrum, it's something you've got to experience for yourself.
Free Hat formed at Georgia Tech in early 2017 by guitarists Jonathan Zalzman and Niko Maheras and bassist Taylor Nichols. The trio found a similar passion in shred, putting a focus heavy riffs and groovy jams. When drummer Joe Szwelnis was added to the mix in October 2017 the band was ready to take a big step forward. Taking inspiration from STS9 to Periphery to Miles Davis, Free Hat plays fearlessly with an infectious passion for the music they play.
Newfaze is a progressive/alternative rock band from Holly Springs, NC. Young musicians, Cameron Pacileo and Garrett Dayton work together to create a new form of rock with progressive rhythms and psychedelic leads. With Ethan Pacileo rocking quick and groovy drum beats, Newfaze is a fun and enjoyable experience to see live.
Formed in August, 2016, Newfaze has recorded their own EP including the hit-single "Fix". Right now they are in the process of recording and releasing their first independent studio album, planning to be released on June 1st 2018. Newfaze has played shows delivering high-energy to the audience including The Cave in Chapel Hill, Deep South The Bar, and The Pour House in Raleigh, all while growing their fanbase.
Newfaze has big ambitions and high hopes of gaining a bigger fanbase and bringing good hard-hitting rock music to everyone's ears..
“Moon Bums, a funky blues rock group from Augusta, Ga. made up of four members; a guitar player, bassist, and a duo of drummers, aims to bring each and every crowd the most unique blues performance that they have seen in years!”
Sucker Punch is Atlanta's hottest new alternative rock cover band. Playing your favorite hard rocking hits from the 90's and early 2000's including Green Day, Weezer, Red Hot ChiliPeppers, Blink 182, Live, STP, Offspring, Bush, Smashing Pumpkins, Collective Soul, Jet and so much more. Come get Punched!
Alternative rock band Floral Cemetery features a hard-hitting but resonant, melodic sound with lyrics about the glories and not-so-glories of youth, growth, and love. The group originated in Loganville, GA, and plays most live shows near Downtown Athens. With bassist Kyle Rice, lead guitarist Nathan Barge, Zachary Sparks on drums, and singer/ songwriter Laila Li, the dynamic between the band is all but ordinary when it comes to creating a musical masterpiece.
