The Bluechips, Emily Angell

The Bluechips

The Bluechips are a rock band from Westchester County, NY.

Bandmates Jake Albi(Vocals/Drums) and Paul Beladino(Vocals/Guitar) are childhood friends, who have been performing together for 10+ years. The efforts of their previous band “daisychain.” earned them a strong local following and a spot on the 2015 Vans Warped Tour at Jones Beach.

Now, along with bassist Tom Davis, the trio are seeking a new musical direction. They’ve combined their influences to craft a fresh, new, pop yet progressive rock n’ roll sound, sharing songwriting credit, with lead vocals duties split between Albi/Beladino.

The Bluechips are currently mixing their debut EP, which is set for Summer 2018 release.

Emily Angell

Hailing from the Southern Tier of New York, Singer/Songwriter/Producer Emily Angell can be seen all over Westchester and Connecticut singing, strumming and wailing on the harmonica. She’s been compared to Alanis Morisette, Jewel, and Christina Aguilera, while Town Vibe Bedford notes she “has a gift for making every cover sound like her own original piece.” Emily’s fans recognize her love of donuts and tacos and her hatred of pants. She regularly laughs at her own jokes. Her all-time favorite band is Dawes. She dreams of opening for P!nk or OneRepublic.

In October 2017, Emily released "I Got This", the debut single to her upcoming Folk/Electropop EP, which combines influences from her roots James Taylor and the Beatles with sounds from artists like Kiiara and Dua Lipa.

In an industry where popular music can often feel inauthentic, Emily stands out not only with her motivational and emotionally-charged lyrics, but with a versatile set of vocal chords and a knowledge of both sides of the recording studio.

Her debut self-released EP The Upset (2011) received aplomb for its simple, acoustic approach, landing her heralding reviews from Women of Substance Radio and Emily’s sophomore EP Let Go (2015) incorporated incorporated Folk and Rock influences and secured her spots opening for well-known names in Alternative Radio like American Authors and Dreamers.

Emily Angell aims to set the bar for independent artists, popular music and female producers. By being connected emotionally, morally and socially, Emily believes the empathy that music fosters will change the world.
