Felix ‘D-Kat’ Pollard a drummer whose propulsive style and versatility have enabled him to play alongside some of the greatest musicians in the world. His roster includes Lionel Richie, Anastacia, Shelia E., George Duke, Chaka Kahn, The Staple Singers, Jessica Simpson, Brian Culbertson, Phil Upchurch, Clay Aikens and a host of others. There is no doubt that Felix is one of the most sought after percussionists in the music industry.
A versatile drummer, Felix is impossible to pigeonhole as just a specialist in one or two areas. His versatility allows him to play everything from pop to jazz to gospel and rock. Weather Buddy Guy or Destiny’s Child, his talent is recognized by the best in the business. It’s this talent that landed him his current position as a drummer touring with Taylor Hicks, the 2006 American Idol winner.
Felix is not only a drummer extraordinaire he’s also an extraordinary person. His talents were obvious at an early age. From the time he was two he was banging away on anything in sight.
Albert is a musical chameleon who has dazzled listeners in over 1000 live performances and lent his fleet-fingered keyboard and piano work to numerous musicians in their studio recording sessions. The list of performers Albert has worked with is a Who's Who of significant artists and songwriters whose careers span the past 40 years. Artist such as Leo Nocentelli (The Meters, the legendary New Orleans Funk quartet that received Grammy's lifetime achievement award in 2001.), Richard Street (The Temptations), Ivan Neville (Rolling Stones), The Drifters, Oteil Burbridge (The Allman Brothers), John Avila & Johnny Vatos (Oingo Boingo), Joe Louis Walker, Karl Denson, Darryl Johnson (The Neville Bros./ Daniel Lanios), Tony Braunagle (Bonnie Raitt / Taj Mahal) and Evan Stone (John Tesh).
Any singer worth their salt was influenced by the greatest entertainers of eras gone by. Most have taken
these inspirations to unique heights of flattery and imitation but nothing more. Its time for a new day.
Damon Dae. Original. Uniquely his own.
With his easily identifiable sultry tenor voice, he is destined to find his place in history amongst the best.
He has the ability-- a gift really-- to take a melody and make you soar, make you submit and make you
Born in Sioux City, Iowa, eight year old Damon, the youngest of four, and his family, moved to Fort
Worth, Texas. This is where he was first influenced by attending his big brother Raymond’s band
audition. Now in Los Angeles, Damon is not only an experienced singer but has branched out as a
songwriter & producer.
Not one to hide behind studio tracks, give Damon a microphone and a live audience and see a complete
entertainer. When he sings it, he means it. He'll make you dance up a sweat then melt you with a ballad.
Leaving you as raw emotion sensitive to the touch.
Damon embraces his influences of Jeffery Osborne, Freddie Jackson, James Ingram, Luther Vandross,
Peobo Bryson, Michael McDonald but, most of all, his songs and voice are of the original Damon Dae. He
has weathered the trials and tribulations of the average up-and-coming performer and has emerged as
something more. He's a polished professional who's ready for his close-up. Giving you something you
Founder of The Mint in 1990, Jed helped ignite an otherwise non-existent music scene in Los Angeles,
helping the likes of Macy Gray, Ben Harper, The Wallflowers, and many, many others to become the
artists they are today. Jed also is a musician/guitarist/songwriter who joined musical forces with Damon
Dae to create “Resurrection Road”. The mission? To resurrect Soul music for soul. Originally a blues
player, Jed was able to absorb the many styles that made their way through the hallowed stage of The
Mint over the years, to create a sound of his own. The result is the fresh soulful sound you will hear with

"There is huge talent in this man that is yet to be fully expressed. With his credentials and his chops, this is a guitar player on the verge of international acclaim." ~ Gary 'The Wagman' Wagner, award-winning DJ at KKJZ 88.1 FM Nothin' But The Blues
I play modern Folk Music with a blend of 1950-1960 soul filled vocals.
I grew up surrounded in both music and art. The Folk Music Center (the store my grandparents built) has instruments, sculptures, paintings, drawings and photographs from all around the world. It is an institution of creativity.
When I took up sculpture the medium spoke to me. I was able to create anything and everything I could imagine with relative ease. Teaching, is also something that comes naturally to me. As humans we are here for such a finite period of time, so we are only able to capture a finite amount of information. How we pass that knowledge from one individual to the next determines the shape the thoughts will take root as and transform into. If you grow up in a rough neighborhood with rough people you usually have rough thoughts. On the other hand, if you grow up in a gentle community with a gentle people you generally have gentle thoughts. I spent every day after school growing up in the Folk Music Center. It was a creative community filled with liberal politics, creativity and love.
