Electric Love Machine
Electric Love Machine is a Future Wave/Space Disco quartet from Baltimore MD. Their style was born out of the Livetronica/Jam Band scene, and since it's inception has morphed into a musical powerhouse with masterful songwriting and roller coaster jams. Over the past five years their sound has evolved considerably while touching on the entire spectrum of human emotion; mixing the dark with the light, the pop with the jam, the disco with
the metal, all while sprinkling retro, funky overtones throughout.
The band has gone through a few lineup changes but has stayed mainly comprised of Jon Wood on guitar and vocals, Jon Brady on keys and vocals, and Alex Lang on bass. The band has consistently played close to or more than 100 shows a year and has had a considerable amount of time to hone their craft. Their high energy performances are often accompanied by mind bending visuals by the incomparable Jack Thomas that complement the music and it’s driving improvisational nature.
"Love Deluxe", Electric Love Machine's second album, was released in April of 2017 to overwhelmingly positive reviews and is a culmination of the past few years of the band’s writing. "Xenofonex", the band's first studio effort was released in 2013 and contains many of the band’s classics. A live album titled "Res Hits Vol. 1" is being finalized and will be available for digital download in the near future as well as the first EP in a duology titled "Future Creatures Pt.1".
Electric Love Machine is touring the Mid Atlantic, Northeast, and Southeast regions relentlessly in 2018 and a full schedule and additional media can be found on their website www.ElectricLoveMachine.com
ELM is part of a dedicated and diverse network of Live performance artists, acrobats, painters, graphic artists, musicians, fashion designers, and music lovers from in and around the Baltimore area who support each other and often perform together to make each show a profoundly unique experience.
Flying through their (fair-priced) interstellar journey, their tribe supports ELM not just in their hometown of Baltimore, MD, but also throughout the band’s multiple engagements spanning the Northeast, and future markets in the Southeast, Midwest, West, the Moon, and potentially our neighboring Andromeda Galaxy (dependent on contract negotiations).
In addition to the many hallowed halls ELM has had the extreme pleasure of playing, they have gratefully performed with jam monsters EOTO, Papadosio, Dopapod, TAUK, Turkuaz, Electron, and PPPP, and have played multiple sets at such fine festivals as All Good Music Festival, The Mad Tea Party, Moonrise, Camp Barefoot, The Werk Out, Domefest, and Lunar Bay.
The Cassaday Concoction
Formed early in the summer of 2017 by three friends who were in between bands, The Cassaday Concoction has been taking Washington, DC and the east coast by storm with their exciting three-piece blend of rock, funk, and blues. The band consists of Washington DC music scene veterans Chris Cassaday (guitarist & vocalist, Micro Massive), Bryan Moran (bassist, Katita & The Fajitas) and Miles Lieder (drummer, Dale and The Zdubs). Each member’s eclectic mix of musical backgrounds gives the band’s sound a unique and powerful edge, luring the audience in with catchy harmonies, hard-punching rock and roll, and the occasional crowd-favorite cover song. The band has performed at some of the best venues the DMV has to offer in the early months since forming and has proven quickly that they are a must see act in the Washington DC music scene. This is one show that you will not want to miss! They released their live EP “The Cassaday Concoction (Live At Groove Studios)” on January 12th, 2018, and will be releasing a full length studio album in 2019
Rock music gets compartmentalized a lot. Punk, Indie, Classic, Grunge – some bands define one particular genre and others are able to mix and mingle the differing characteristics of each. The Milestones give us music that meshes the best qualities of each genre and provide us with solid rock sounds that doesn’t need it’s own specific category. They’re a little bit in-your-face like punk, they’re a little growly like grunge, and they get you moving like indie-dance rock.
The Milestones are a quartet based out of Baltimore, Maryland and got their start in 2014 playing around the local scene. Their EP, Old Souls, was released that same year. They released their sophomore EP, Honey, this year.
