Mario Loor, Discotelle, Sweet Noir

Mario Loor

Mario Loor is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Brooklyn, NY recently stolen by LA. His music is best described as psychedelic R&B or if Funkadelic was a genre it would just skim the surface. This is some guitar sounding like a synth type of stuff in the context of feel good D'Angelo drunk-like grooves with poetic falsetto lyrics. Hooks upon hooks upon hooks. Let's go fishing kids!

Discotelle formed in the mountain-city of Knoxville, Tennessee in mid-2017 after Dani Disotelle contributed an acoustic version of her song "Absent" to Taped Records' fourth benefit compilation album. During the recording sessions of her debut EP, Nate Stewart and Henry Pack joined and transformed her bedroom project into a striking three-piece. The EP was released in December 2017, and the group quickly created buzz in East Tennessee. Disotelle relocated to Los Angeles in March 2018 to stretch her comfort zone and to continue making music. She is currently working on a visual EP, set to be released by the end of the year, that documents her solo cross-country trip from Tennessee to California. In the meantime, she is performing acoustically around the Los Angeles area, and is formulating a small tour for the summer
