Magno – derived from the Latin adjective magna, meaning “of greatness”... Somewhere in the definition, Michael Magno inherited the drive to become a serious singer/songwriter. Spoon-fed his influences by radio-loving parents, Michael wrote his first song at age 14 and never looked back. By today’s standards, you can compare him to such contemporaries as Bruno Mars and OneRepublic, with a smooth vocal reminiscent of Sting or Marvin Gaye. In 1998, the Florida native transplanted to Atlanta and began performing his originals solo acoustic or with the his band, MAGNO. He quickly gained popularity at such venues as Eddie’s Attic, Smith’s Olde Bar and other music rooms around Atlanta. His sound is an organic blend of rock and soul, with an undeniable pop sensibility. Drawing inspiration from coffee and 80’s radio, Magno’s songs are a personal invite into familiarity. His songs convey broad takes on love and hope, while letting his listeners embrace the lyrics in their own singularity. Live performances showcase Magno’s natural abilities: lucid vocals, comfort on guitar and piano, an alluring demeanor and boy-next-door smile. With every show, Magno continues to draw a growing fan base, validating his stride as a serious songwriter and performer. Find him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @mrmagnomusic
Armed with lyrical wit, virtuosic piano runs, and a sultry-sweet voice that hearkens back to the golden age of jazz, Atlanta-based songwriter Anita Aysola is a deft musical mixologist who seamlessly infuses jazz and blues with classic rock and traditional Indian influences.
Her debut album More Than Maybe showcases her songwriting prowess and broad range of influences, from Norah Jones and Tori Amos, to Tom Waits and Otis Spann. Her focus goes beyond jazz into traditional Indian music, most apparent in "Long Way Home", a haunting ballad channeling influences like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Ravi Shankar. Anita seamlessly bridges worlds to create a unique sound that is emblematic of her growing body of work. Anita’s second EP, “Beyond Our Dreams” is due for release in August 2018.
Anita has performed across the United States, with major shows in Chicago, Boston, Houston, Washington D.C., NYC and Atlanta. She performed at a private Democratic fundraiser that included President Barack Obama, and is a regular performer in Atlanta.
Having recently joined Grammy Award winning bluesman KEB' MO' as his keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist, Boston-born Kevin So has earned the respect of Billy Bragg and playwright David Henry Hwang. He has built a loyal fan base around the world for the past 20 years and has performed more recently at Carnegie Hall and The Ryman in Nashville. Kevin was also recipient of the 2007 NYC Fringe Festival Award (Best Music & Lyrics) for "Great Wall" – a semi-autobiographical musical in development. His songs have been recorded by India Arie ("Crush On You"), Keb' Mo' ("Talk") and Shemekia Copeland ("Sounds Like The Devil"). He is blues, country & soul in its finest blend. www.KevinSo.com
