One of the most celebrated and respected performers of her generation, Jenny Lewis got her start as the dynamic frontwoman of influential LA group Rilo Kiley in 1998. She has since released three albums under her name, most recently 2014’s The Voyager. In addition to her solo work, she was a member of The Postal Service, part of the duo, Jenny and Johnny, as well as the lead vocalist for Nice As Fuck.
Lewis has collaborated with Beck, Elvis Costello, Ryan Adams and M. Ward, among others. She has also written music for films such as the musical/drama, Song One, starring Anne Hathaway and Very Good Girls starring Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen.
Blau is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and DIY icon who helped turn his hometown of Anacortes, Washington, into an indie-music mecca. He has released more than 40 records in 20-odd years, many self-released in handmade packaging and mailed to subscribers, and others on iconic indie Northwest labels K, Knw-Yr-Own, Marriage Records. Blau has also toured and recorded for years solo and with Laura Veirs, the Microphones, Little Wings, D+, and Earth with over 1,000 total performances to date.
Anticipating 3 new vinyl releases this year – the first of which entitled “Introducing” emerges May 13th on Bella Union, London and Raven Marching Band Records, Portland, OR. Shining brilliantly with Tucker Martine production (My Morning Jacket, Neko Case, Laura Veirs, Camera Obscura) – “Introducing” just released its first single “Fallin’ Rain,” a Link Wray tune.
