Graham Bonnet Band
Legendary rock vocalist Graham Bonnet is back with a new band and an exciting new album titled 'The Book'.
The 'Graham Bonnet Band', features of course Graham Bonnet vocals, Beth-Ami Heavenstone on bass, Joey Tafolla on guitar, ex-Alcatrazz man Jimmy Waldo on keys, and Mark Benquechea on Drums.
They promise a powerful set-list showcasing Graham's extraordinary career performing the songs the way you know them.
Born in Skegness, England (December 1947), Bonnet enjoyed his first chart success with The Marbles, his first single with them – ‘Only One Woman’, penned by the Bee Gees – becoming a top 5 UK hit in 1968. After a spell recording advertising jingles, he appeared in the 1974 British comedy film ‘Three for All’ as lead singer of a fictional band called Billy Beethoven, receiving a rave review for his performance! Bonnet’s subsequent career has seen him work with some of the best musicians in the business, including guitar virtuosos Ritchie Blackmore Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and Chris Impellitteri... drummers Cozy Powell and Ted McKenna, bassists Roger Glover and Chris Glen and keyboard player Don Airey.
He is well known as the voice on a number of classic heavy rock albums including Rainbow’s ‘Down to Earth’ (1979), Michael Schenker Group’s ‘Assault Attack’ (1982), Alcatrazz’s ‘No Parole for Rock ‘n’ Roll’ (1983) and ‘Disturbing the Peace’ (1985).
Rainbow’s ‘Down to Earth’ spawned two hit singles, a cover of Russ Ballard’s ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ and ‘All Night Long’. During his time with Rainbow, Bonnet also headlined the inaugural Monsters of Rock Festival at Castle Donington in the UK. Singles from the first two studio Alcatrazz albums, ‘Island in the Sun’ (from ‘No Parole …’ and ‘God Blessed Video’ (from ‘Disturbing the Peace’), became staples of MTV, then in its infancy.
Bonnet has maintained an active solo presence throughout most of his career, releasing albums periodically including the eponymous ‘Graham Bonnet’ (1977), which was a hit in Australia, ‘No Bad Habits’ (1978), ‘Line-Up’ (1981), ‘Here Comes the Night’ (1991), ‘Underground’ (1997) and ‘The Day I Went Mad’ (1999). The single ‘Night Games’ (from the ‘Line Up’ album) reached number 6 in the UK charts.
He has recorded and toured with a wide-range of other artists and released albums with bands such as Impellitteri, Forcefield, Blackthorne and Japanese legends Anthem.
Bonnet has a powerful and distinctive vocal style and, indeed, a distinctive image – preferring to let the music, rather than the conventional heavy metal look, do the talking.
The Graham Bonnet Band has spent the last 18 months touring solidly around the world, with performances at several major European festivals including an acclaimed set at Sweden Rock 2016.
The debut Graham Bonnet Band album 'The Book' sees Graham returning in fine form, with an album that is his best in decades.
11 new tracks that will blow heavy rock fans away!
Also included with the new album is a 16 track cd of re-recorded classic tracks from Graham's career.
222 delivers their own power packed take on dance rock via a mixture of pop punk 80s/ 90s influenced rock mixed with current techno influences. Respected music blogs DeliMagazine.com and LABuzzBands.com have both highlighted the unique sound and songwriting talents of 222 and their debut CD Libretto. Their high energy live shows have built a strong following across the U.S. via a string of well attended club dates including a successful gig at the Red Gorilla Fest in Austin, TX. The band’s growing popularity is also due to airplay of their debut single “One Night Stand” on influencer radio stations such as KROQ in Los Angeles.
222 is Jade Howard and Dennis Hamlin. The duo wrote and recorded the songs on Libretto themselves in their home studio with the only other credit on the album going to Frank Rosato who mixed the record. Howard and Hamlin are both prolific songwriters drawing their musical influences from books, movies and life experiences.“One Night Stand” is loosely based on the Edgar Allen Poe story the Tell Tale Heart. The collection of songs on Libretto play much like an opera in that every song is a story. Yet don’t let the opera reference fool you, the album is a collection songs that will move and groove you from start to finish.
222’s creativity pours into all aspects of their artistic expression. The provocative self- produced videos made in support of Libretto are truly mini movies and the perfect visual companions to the songs featured on the album. Videos for “One Night Stand,” “Headcake,” and the lyric video for “Fair Weather Send Off” can be seen on the band’s YouTube Channel. 222 will soon debut the newest video “Pick Up Line.”
Having just returned to Los Angeles following tour dates in the South, Midwest, SouthWest, and East Coast, the band is currently in the studio writing and recording new material for their next album slated for release in the fall. 222 can also be found performing select club dates in and around Los Angeles.
Started in January of 2007, we consider ourselves a type of melodic thrash. After losing our bassist Ozzy to a motorcycle accident, the band went on hiatus for almost 2 years until late 2011. We went thru some personnel changes and got some of the best local musicians to take over, including Joe Mish (Crost) on Lead guitar, Eric Dow (Helsott) on drums, and Mark Dow (Helsott) on bass. Some of the bands we have opened up for are Forbidden, Metal Church, Sabaton, George Lynch, Michael Schenker, The Iron Maidens, Dio Disciples, Cage, Death Dealer, and The Pangea Music Festival. We have loyal fans known as S.O.B.'s (Soldiers Of Battlefront).
You gotta stay true to your roots. I'm layin' it down live in Southern California this summer 2014.
"Songs that are based in today's world" as scary as it is. NO FEAR! Telling it as we see it!
Killing Tyranny plans to hit Southern California like a heavy metal tsunami with a nonstop attack on your cognitive and auditory senses! With a heart stopping barrage of metal to infuse into your systems! Ripping the flesh from your face with skull splitting pin point accuracy! See us it will be well worth your time!
After leaving my hometown of Detroit to chase the dream. I arrived in Covina California in 2000. Hooking up with former members of The Wicked and other well known LA musicians I formed Outraged. After making two CD's playing until 2005. I was approached by former members of Sanctuary to form Ironworks. Ironworks enjoyed a brief stent in the sunshine playing good venues in San Diego until 2010. After a four year hiatus I have chosen to put this project together.....Killing Tyranny is born. Excited we are in studio and plan to have the CD Spewing Treason done by August????
