From coffeehouses to concert halls, festivals and beyond, John Hammond has spent forty years entertaining blues, folk and rock audiences around the world, performing intense solo-acoustic blues. A Grammy Award winner and four time nominee, Hammond is also a multiple W.C. Handy award winner who has shared the stage and/or recorded with many of the masters, including Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker and Howlin' Wolf. John has recorded over thirty albums and his passionate commitment to traditional blues made him the natural choice to host the BRAVO TV special and Sony Home Video, The Search for Robert Johnson. His latest album, Push Comes To Shove, was released in January 2007 to glowing reviews from Time Out New York, the Washington Post, American Songwriter and many more. The disc was produced by longtime Hammond fanatic G Love (Garret Dutton III) and features Stephen Hodges on drums, Marty Ballou on bass and Bruce Katz on piano and organ. Hammond wrote an unprecedented five original songs for the album, along with new renditions of tunes by Little Walter, Junior Wells, Tom Waits and more.
Billboard Magazine calls Jim Campilongo, "an American treasure", an accolade this guitarist's artistry and influential career has richly earned him.
With nine albums of original material and guest appearances on dozens of recordings; from the Bammie-winner's contribution on Cake's million-selling "Prolonging the Magic" to (most recently) doing lead guitar duties with Martha Wainwright, Teddy Thompson and The Little Willies, his band with Norah Jones, He's also had repeat appearances on David Letterman, Conan O'Brien and been interviewed on many major radio shows. Campilongo is also a published guitar teacher and contributing editor for Guitar Player Magazine. Campilongo's virtuosity and originality has inspired a generation of guitar players. His songwriting uses a palette of the best in Blues, Country, Jazz and Rock with a sensitivity and wit that has also earned him the broad fan base most instrumental guitarist never enjoy.
In 2011 Fender Guitars bestowed Jim the honor of the Campilongo Signature Telecaster, a high quality instrument made by Fenders elite Custom Shop.
Since 2004 the "Campy Trio" reigns each Monday night at New York's Living Room, a residency that Time Out New York recommended as "one of the city's strongest".
Singer Jeff Taylor and drummer Mark Guiliana began making music together in 1999. Later, the pair began recording and performing with producer/musician Steve Wall. At first billing under Taylor's name, the three New Jersey natives formed a band and recorded their debut LP, 'Frustration In Time Travel.'
He's "the hottest roots-folk wunderkind in the game," says Sam Ubl, former music critic at Village Voice and Pitchfork. After busking across the country for many years, with his "bone-chilling¨" renditions of obscure traditional folk and eclectic original tunes, this "rambling man encyclopedia type of cat˚" has wowed the biggest whigs in the music scene.
Noveller is the solo project of Brooklyn-based guitarist and filmmaker Sarah Lipstate. Handling the electric guitar as her muse, Lipstate summons a sonic palette so rich as to challenge the listener to conceive of how it’s housed in a single instrument manipulated by a solitary performer. Her one-woman guitar soundscapes have captured the attention of NPR, The Village Voice, Time Out New York, and The Wall Street Journal.
