Samuel Hope returns home for two intimate solo concerts at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 3.
"Great music is all about a good melody and a beautiful voice," Samuel Hope claims, he's quick to add a crucial caveat: "…even if that 'voice' is an instrument, like Louis Armstrong's trumpet." The debut single, 'Carried Away' certainly has its own sense of voice, radiating both passion and frustration in a few minutes of total vulnerability.
Samuel Hope, the multi-instrumentalist and New York City native, came together with Pete Davis (New Order, Björk, Dido), Sally Herbert (Muse, Robbie Williams) and producer Mike Hedges (The Cure, U2, Siouxsie and the Banshees) and created exemplary depth in his recently released soul-pop album.
Samuel currently resides in Berlin where he recorded his debut album, “Other Man”, and is gearing up for his first headlining tour of Germany this autumn. His music has been featured on mainstream radio in Germany and Italy and written up in print and online publications in Germany, France, and Italy after his debut music video for the song “Carried Away” reached over 100k views and second single “Lead Me On” was featured on Spotify Germany’s new music Friday playlist.
