With almost a dozen members, the band draws on a wide variety of influences, ranging from Ray Charles and James Brown, to ZZ Top and The Tower of Power.

Whiskey & Knives, the band’s first CD, received the Washington Area Music Association’s (WAMA) Wammie award for Best Debut Recording of 2009. Beam Me Up Elvis, their follow up CD, features an additional 12 original songs and won another Wammie in 2012 for Best Blues / Traditional R & B Recording.

The band members are from various musical backgrounds and have done everything from touring with Sting to performing for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
