This event is all ages
If there was a modern rock band fusing the best elements of Queen, The Beach Boys, Muse, and The Killers, even the most jaded of hipsters longing for something both classic and contemporary would have their interest piqued, while quite possibly admit to being stoked by the notion. As the great composer Frank Zappa dismissively proclaimed, "we are just another band from LA," it would be very easy to describe The Bolts, aka, "LA's hottest new band," (LA Weekly) with Zappa's glib description- but as in all things Hollywood there is much more lurking just below the surface.
The Bolts are from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Only in the pop music suburban melting pot of Southern California could this be possible. The Bolts are the direct musical descendants of a long list of great bands such as The Eagles, Van Halen, and No Doubt, which were spawned along the Interstate 5 Freeway from the San Fernando Valley to the OC--and they have learned their lessons very well. "The OC has a scene for almost every musical genre and we have fans from every one of them," explains guitarist/vocalist Heath Farmer. "I think rock music fans have been waiting for something new that doesn't require that they conform to a scene's standards; something organic and unrefined that says you can enjoy it whether you have a moptop or a mohawk. We are for them."
Young Beautiful In A Hurry
Young Beautiful in a Hurry, is a band, dedicated to bringing you all-organic, free-range, thoroughbred rock/pop, with an infusion of glam, you haven't heard this side of the late 70s.
With influences ranging from the glory daze of Ziggy and Queen, Elvis Presley to Oingo Boingo, Aretha to Ray: YBH lays down the sound by all means necessary to pluck at your heart strings, get stuck in your head, add some junk to your trunk, and otherwise improve the quality of your life.
