Black Sea, Pastel Felt, Dream

"Local dream gaze heartbreakers Black Sea, the project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Cole Devine, are finally releasing their debut album, Disappointing Sunset. And today, we’re happy to premiere the video for lead single, “Apprehension Review”. Heavy on dream-pop with hints of post punk throughout – think My Bloody Valentine on uppers...
Their album has been playing nonstop on my headphones, and if that’s any indication of what’s to come from Black Sea, I’m ready. So watch their new video, and keep an eye on these guys."
-Maya Eslam [What Youth]

Black Sea is a four-piece Dream-Pop/ Post-Punk group from Los Angeles, fronted by sole songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Cole Devine.
With 2 cassette EP's out on Southern California labels Burger Records, and Trabajo Press, Devine is currently working on the first Black Sea full-length LP.
The bands sound has truly developed since their last release, "Keep Smiling/Optimistic Sigh"(Burger Records), moving forward from its minimalist, noise-pop beginnings, into a new, bright, and almost alternative version dream-pop.
Many fans refer to Black Sea's music as shoe-gaze, though Devine calls it "Dream-Punk".

"an infectious, pounding celebration of summer revelry."
