On December 14th Monophonics return to the Independent for a rare hometown show, bringing their trade mark psychedelic soul back home after a year of playing concerts and festivals throughout the US and Europe. The band will be playing classics from their catalog along with music from their upcoming release “Mirrors". It is an album of covers, some well known, others obscure but all dripping with the soul, fuzz and funk that is the Monophonics trademark sound. Opening the show is SF based Hibbity Dibbity.

Hibbity Dibbity

Hibbity Dibbity is an American Rock & Roll band from San Francisco, and has been playing across the continental United States since 2013. With a reputation for immersive live shows, Hibbity Dibbity has built a devout, cult-like following in the Bay Area. They have shared the stage with Vulfpeck, Monophonics, and most recently Robert Randolph at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco. In May 2017, Hib Dib made their major festival debut at BottleRock in Napa, California. Hibbity Dibbity's songwriting exudes a sense of timelessness, and their sounds are a flavorful mixture of high-energy swampy blues bangers, and swoon-worthy country crooners. Hibbity Dibbity continues to fill the hunger for live music in the Bay Area and beyond.
