Authentik's given name is Brandon Braun. Brandon was born in Denver, CO on May 2, 1997. Brandon began to become interested in Hip-Hop in the early 2000's. Brandon began writing music around the age of seven and attempted to start pursuing the art at the age of 13. Being surrounded by so many "rappers" at an early age, Brandon took it upon himself to take music to a different level and add substance into his craft. It took him three years of writing and preparation to build up the nerve to release his music and show his peers. About a year later on his 17th birthday Brandon knew that he wanted to pursue music so he began releasing music weekly and practiced day in and day out. Later, Brandon had the opportunity to meet some of his idols such as Tech N9ne and even had the opportunity to preform along side of Krizz Kaliko. Brandon was later able to release a song referred to as Beautiful (prod. by Age) in order to raise awareness for suicide prevention. This song became mildly popular and was able to touch many lives. The song continues to receive attention from pages such as I Discover Stars and Team Backpack. Very grateful for his opportunity to become a more national artist Brandon is working on a new project. Brandon is now currently putting together his first official album with producer Adrijan "AGE" Lubura. The album will be released sometime in December of 2016. Brandon has been constantly traveling, working with various artists including Devvon Terrell and Flawless Real Talk. Recently Brandon was able to attend the 2016 BET Awards. Brandon is currently a sophomore at Metropolotian State University. At the age of 19 Brandon is in the perfect position to become something greater than himself.
