DonCat, Jean Terrace, and Stephen Beebout - Private Parlor Show (($10 before/$15 day of show))

DONCAT is Duncan Nielsen, a San Francisco based songwriter and performer with a penchant for rock, soul and folk stylings. His songs draw from the deep history of California counter-culture music and discuss both the hope and uncertainty of the American dream in kaleidoscopic cynicism.

"Superbly laid back Laurel Canyon style psych-folk"

"Wonderfully downcast, with Doncat's gentle poetry matched against a hazy, never-rushed arrangement." -Clash Magazine

The serendipity of mixing irony in experience can yield less-than-stellar results. But for Oakland folk vixen Jean Terrace, that is just one of many contraries to her intricacy. Terrace lives in a minefield of wisdom, only exuding character - that of a nomadic woman; roaming the earth whilst looking for her counterpart. We all seek to be Jean Terrace, and thus, we listen. Her debut EP speaks truths of love, it’s voice, it’s leisure - and all that is necessary to be included.
