Most new artists face a challenge: finding their sound. Though the Nashville-based band Bowen may be newly minted, their challenge was of a different nature. Bowen’s members are industry veterans whose accolades include touring with John Mayer, Dave Matthews, and Maroon 5; signing major record deals as artists; and writing and producing for household names.
For the six, returning to the stage spotlight wasn’t on their
minds; at least, not until they heard final recordings. Their
challenge, then, was trying to fight the urge to be a part of it, an urge they fortunately yielded to. The bombastic, high-energy Coldplay-meets- Jackson-Browne sound is as compelling to listeners as to Bowen, who's debut single "All I Ever Do" is available now.
Texas native Abby Anderson has spent much of her nineteen years at a piano singing the songs of her favorite music artists like Ray Charles, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, Elvis, Stevie Wonder and K.T. Oslin. Abby lives for a great melody and loves a song that really says something. While in high school in 2014, her unique arrangement of My Country ’Tis of Thee, renamed Let Freedom Ring, caught the attention of radio journalist/host Glenn Beck who had Abby perform the patriotic song on his show, gaining Abby immediate national level attention. The song made the Billboard Top 100 and iTunes Country Music Chart Top Ten, with all proceeds from the song going directly to MercuryOne.org. Abby graduated early from high school and moved to Nashville in February of 2015 and started writing with some of Nashville's best songwriters, then went into the studio with veteran Nashville producer Jason Deere last fall. Abby is currently working on her first full-length album and touring the summer of 2016, including a couple of dates opening for one of her favorite new artists Kelsea Ballerini.
