George Porter, Jr. Trio
American bassist, born December 26, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
Frogleg is a fresh young band out of Minneapolis. Since their first show in late 2012, a major buzz about the band Frogleg has been spreading throughout the Twin Cities music scene stemming from their ever-growing weekly tradition, "Frogleg Thursdays @ Bunkers Music Bar & Grill" in downtown Minneapolis. Outside of Bunker's, the band has now headlined shows at most of the major venues in Minneapolis from the Cabooze to the Skyway Theatre downtown. Frogleg has shared the stage with the Jeff Austin Band, New Orleans Suspects, Devon Allman, Orgone, Raw Oyster Cult, Samantha Fish, to name a few.
Pianist, vocalist and song-writer, born in Kent, England on 11 August 1962, based in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA since 1980. Won a Grammy for his 2015 album GoGo Juice.
Jaden Carlson Band
With one foot in the funk world and the rest kicking through the retro, fusion, and dance doors, the Jaden Carlson Band are a four-piece “funksion” ensemble from Boulder, Colorado led by female guitarist, vocalist, keyboardist and producer, Jaden Carlson. The group is comprised of some of the best talent to be heard, with varied backgrounds coming together from all over the country on bass, drums and keys.
Jaden Carlson, the front of JCB, provides face-melting prowess on the guitar as well as thought-provoking lyricism, and dance grooves and techno-funk on the synthesizer.
Eric Imbrosciano’s depth of experience in blues, hip-hop, funk and jazz stems from his early years beating his drums around the New York scene before making his musical home in Colorado.
Pianist and Composer, Chris Beck, can be found gigging with the best jazz, funk and rock bands in Colorado. He has crafted his own voice with organic sounds, soulful taste and keeps it funky on the talk box.
Chris Hunnicutt brings his low-end rhythm from years of gigging in the hotbed of Minneapolis gospel, funk, blues, jazz and hip-hop.
The band has been appearing at some of the nation’s most notable festivals: Summer Camp, The Friendly Gathering, The Vertex Festival, 80/35, Bumbershoot, LEAF Festival, The Werkout Music and Art Festival, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, ARISE Festival, Bohemian Nights, and many others.
The Jaden Carlson Band has headlined major venues all over Colorado, as well as played direct support for national touring bands Twiddle, The Revivalists, The Nth Power, The Werks, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Kung Fu, DeVotchKa, Robert Cray, Anders Osborne, and Marco Benevento just to name a few.
“Polychromatic”, an 11-song cd of all originals, is Jaden’s fourth album and was released in October 2014, to both highly regarded journalistic and musician/peer reviews.
Jaden is the youngest musician to legitimately play on the the Red Rocks Stage at age 11 with Michael Franti and Spearhead, and again the next night with Blues Traveler; and has also played numerous sit-ins with Umphrey’s McGee, The Revivalists, Lettuce, Dumpstaphunk, The Main Squeeze, The Nth Power, Twiddle, The Werks, TAUK, Zoogma, The Motet, Dopapod, members of Snarky Puppy, Vulfpeck, Big Gigantic, The String Cheese Incident and many more.
