Zaib Khan

Georgia native Zaib Khan returns to MadLife Stage to share his soulful originals and perform renditions of his favorite covers. With a sound reminiscent of Chris Stapleton, Amos Lee, and Sam Smith, Zaib blends the genres of soul, country, and R&B into smooth and soulful originals that invite you on his journey as a singer-songwriter.
Louisiana-born and Georgia-raised, Zaib is a rising recording and touring artist from Atlanta, where he has been performing on the city’s music scene for ten years—including stages such as MadLife, Eddie’s Attic, Smith’s Olde Bar, Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Social Club, The Vinyl, the Masquerade and Venkman’s. Outside his native Georgia he tours regularly across the Carolinas, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., New York City where he’s played at Rockwood and The Bitter End and Los Angeles where he’s played at El Cid and The Kibitz Room.

It was in 2015 that he released his debut self-titled EP “Zaib Khan” featuring originals like “MaMa Said” and “The Wind,” for which Melissa Crissey of Southerly Magazine wrote: “His personal, earnest, and unapologetically simple form of storytelling carries us through six original songs that pivot between gospel, jazz, and country conventions.” A year later, in 2016, he recorded his newest single, “Is,” with Billy Joel’s former saxophonist Richie Cannata at Cove City Sound Studios in New York. Zaib in 2017 has recorded his latest record entitled "31," a five-song album touching the genres of Country, R&B and Soul.
