Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Luke Krause is Dihty Dihty–a hard electro DJ and producer/sound engineer. After growing up around music all his life, Dihty Dihty started as an EDM side project of the rhythm section of Red Jr., an electro rock band. With Jamie Bowler’s filthy bass lines and Krause’s praised percussion skills, their music quickly became a flurry of rhythmic energy that people could immediately connect to. With Luke venturing on his own in 2012, he performs by mixing his own originals with tracks from some of his favorite labels (i.e., Boys Noize, Dim Mak, Ed Banger, Mau5trap, Ultra, OWSLA, Cassius, etc.), forming a mix of hard dance and indie electronic with dubstep/hip-hop breaks. He’s also collaborated with vocalist Miranda Rae in making a new sound of dark, melodic dance music. Dihty Dihty can be found playing at the Double Door on local or dance music nights, various local spots around the city, and an upcoming festival in Wisconsin, Jammin’ on the Wolf.
The group found its' beginnings when Dylan Howe left the University of Minnesota-Duluth to put fuller focus on his music. Dylan then encouraged his long-time friend, AJ Norman to enroll with him at the Institute of Production and Recording in Downtown Minneapolis, where the two were able to progress their abilities in pursuit of launching the newly formed group into the stratosphere.
Initially inspired by various artists in the mash-up genre, such as Girl Talk, World Class Art Thieves, (also known informally as WorldCat), endeavors to create a gourmet twist to mash-ups; pulling from an extremely wide variety of music and styles to weave and concoct their tunes. But in the next year, the WorldCAT embarks on a new journey to showcase their production skills far and wide. With plans on releasing an all original EP, featuring "Super-Hi Vision", and touring the United States, 2012 aims to be the BIGGEST year for the WorldCAT yet.
Chicago emcee Show You Suck, is putting his mark on the music world, one skateboarder at a time with his mad hooks, slick rhymes and thought provoking lyrics. Straight from the hood, but you’d never guess it with his board toting, fashion conscious personality and nack for 80s and 90s pop culture.
A resident of Chicago, Colin Rebey better known as PHENOM has hit the ground running. In just less than a year, Rebey has moved quickly in establishing residencies at some of the most highly populated clubs in Wicker Park, Wrigleyville, and downtown. He currently maintains 5 weekly residencies playing all genres and fulfilling the needs of any of his crowds whether it be the upscale downtown dinne
rtime crowd at Hub51 for his Friday residency or something a little more full throttle such as his 10pm-5am high energy sweat soaked Saturday night residency at evilOlive, one of Chicago's most talked about venues.
Phenom has toured throughout the midwest and has hit both coasts taking his show on the road for crowds extremely pleased with his intertwining of genres.
This year he has shared the stage with national touring acts including A-Trak, MSTRKRFT, Laidback Luke, Nero, Dillon Francis, Boys Noize, Wolfgang Gartner, Mt.
