Rayvon Browne, The Dwells, Dewey & the Decimals

Morgan Heringer is a “ukulele virtuoso” (The New York Times) and Cal Folger Day has “vocal control and onstage presence that command attention” (The New Yorker). Together they present a diverse set of original tunes & compositions, and also some remix’d classix, featuring vocal harmonies and swapping around on piano, uke, guitar, mandolin, melodica, Casio, & more.
In December 2011 they released their first eponymous cassette, and in May 2012 followed it up with a second release, Companion. Its eight tracks were recorded live to an 8-track reel by Alex Penman and Dave Coit of Basement Floods Records in Kensington, Brooklyn. The two albums feature Joel Kruzic on upright bass, who regularly accompanies them at live shows, as well as other collaborators. In June 2012, Rayvon Browne concluded a week-long tour of England and Scotland.
The Dwells are a vocal swirl, drenched in memorable lyrics and infectious songwriting, pulling inspiration from drama and expression of all mediums. The combination of their voices has been described as, "haunting, yet ultimately heartfelt and vulnerable", their songs won't leave you alone.
"If this music does not move you then you might be in need of medical attention." Boston Band Crush
Dewey & the Decimals’ music draws influence from the American Roots and Folk tradition, blending acoustic and electric instruments and thoughtful lyricism. Founded in the Fall of 2011 by singer-songwriter Brian Fitzsousa, Dewey and the Decimals have become a regular act on the New York Folk Rock scene
"The Antifolk Scene has always had room for velvety voices who simply have a knack for righting great pop songs. Dewey & the Decimals frontman Brian Fitzsousa definitely fits the bill." - Ben Krieger
"A solid-wood singer-songwriter who will probably make a good father some day." - Catweazle NYC
