Bubbadoc's Acoustic Community is an invitation for local musicians to come and play together. Each Sunday night we host an acoustic jam dedicated to a specific genre of music: old time, bluegrass, rock, blues, folk, drumming, etc. The jams will run from 6:30 until 9:30 pm in the Haw River Ballroom. The format may vary but this is to be less about performing and more about playing together and learning music. For a jam to work we will obviously need some musicians who know the genre and can lead tunes and others who can back up and learn the tunes and songs. For now, we ask folks who wish to play to contact Bubbadoc@hawriverballroom.com and let him know what genres you are interested in, what instrument you play and whether or not you can lead on a set of tunes. We will set a schedule and invite folks to join in!
