Canyon Ride is an indie rock band based out of Philadelphia. After acknowledging each others musical talents in the fall of 2013, friends Lauren Sattler (guitar/supporting vocals) and Kelly Derrig (lead vocals) started performing original acoustic sets at open mics in and around the city. After seeing the passion these two women brought to the floor playing at a dive bar in West Philly, Richie Campbell (drums) asked to join the band in March 2015. His buddy Ryan Kosinski (bass) joined shortly after.
The collision of each member's musical background led Canyon Ride to jokingly refer to themselves as "Emotional Garage Folk." The band's dynamic, melodic patterns weaves in and out of a heavy hitting rhythm section, as if Natalie Merchant and Punk were to have a turbulent romance. Canyon Ride is expected to release their first EP by summer 2016.
Hailing from the Pennsylvania coal region, currently located in Philadelphia, Kelsey Cork is here to deliver you some deliciously raw live rock and roll shows and the occasional catchy acoustic tune. Big things to come babes and gents.
