Bedbugs is a noise-pop/rock band from Thousand Oaks and Los Angeles, made up of Alex Johnson (vocals, guitar), Kevin Puckett, (bass), Vlad Beseda (guitar, vocals), and Kenzo Cardenas (drums).
Following their inception as a trio in late 2014 the band self-produced and self-released their first EP "Alone" in May of 2015, a poignant take on the hardships of failing relationships, existential anxiety, and dead-end jobs.
During late 2015/early 2016, the band released two singles "You Think You Know Me" and "Like the Earth". With the addition of guitarist Vlad Beseda in 2016, Bedbugs performed a slew of Los Angeles shows, including Los Angeles festival Echo Park Rising
Later in 2016, the band went back into the studio, this time at DTLA Recording in Los Angeles with producers Dennis Herring (Wavves, Modest Mouse, Elvis Costello) and Misha Hercules. The result is the new EP "Glasshouse", out on April 28, 2017. The EP finds the band expanding their previous powerpop sound to something much more realized and occasionally off-the-wall.
Arms Akimbo has burst onto the Alternative rock music scene with the release of its self-produced E.P., “Vignettes.” Propelled by the individual musicality and versatility of its members, Peter Schrupp, Chris Kalil, Matt Sutton, and Colin Boppell, Arms Akimbo has put together an upbeat, honest, and raw alternative album. Formed in January of 2015 when the members met on their LMU college campus in Los Angeles, Arms Akimo crafts unique, harmony-packed, and percussion-driven sounds with dynamic and exciting live performances in which the members change roles and bounce from one instrument to another. With the band's popular single, “Shakin'” being played on college radio across the country, in front of nearly 200,000 fans at the 2015 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, and various other venues, this talented group is clearly on the rise.
